Endowment fund

Invest in the long arc.

Contributions to our endowment fund are invested – only the income is used for operations, so your takoha funds Māia's work for generations.

Bequests + wills

Leave a lasting legacy.

A gift in your will – after whānau and friends are provided for – enables Māia to grow its mahi amongst wāhine and whānau.

Endowment fund

Empowering whānau, building community resilience.

Join us in perpetuating the cycle of empowerment within Māori, Pacific, and indigenous communities. Your contribution creates a lasting legacy of support – funding our leadership pathways and maternal wellbeing kaupapa for generations to come.

Bequests to Māia are invested in our endowment fund. The fund is not a separate legal entity – it's a Māia asset dedicated to the long-term financial wellbeing of the kaupapa, governed by rules available on request. Capital is invested; only the income is used for day-to-day operational expenditure.

What your takoha can do

  • Vital support for māmā through culturally grounded rest and reconnection – strengthening maternal mental wellbeing across their whānau.
  • Fostering greater community resilience by empowering wāhine as leaders and agents of change through our leadership pathways.
  • Strengthening the Māia community on a national and regional level.
  • Ongoing operational support for the kaupapa.
